Find Tire Size For 2005 Toyota Camry in Questions
Whats the largest tire size I can put on a 2005 Toyota Camry XLE V6? The original size of the tire is 215/60/16. Whats the largest size I can put on a 2005 XLE V6 Camry? Also what would the tire size be if I wanted the tires to be an inch wider? One last thing... any recommendations on what tire I should get? I live in Southern California so I prefer a sporty yet quiet tire rather than a tire designed for snowy conditions. Thanks.

Marcus H replied: "The largest tire size you can put on an 05 Camry XLE is 19 inches. You can visit for more tire choices and rims. I would go with a Goodyear tire because they're reliable and durable."

Tire Size What Do The Numbers Mean? 215/60/16 ..... thats the size of my tire. I'm pretty sure the "16" means that my rims are 16 inches, but i have no idea what the "215" and "60" means. Someone please tell me. Also tell me what size to get if I want to get tires that are about 1 inch wider. Would 1 inch wider tires fit on a 2005 Toyota Camry XLE V6? I WILL select a best answer... Thank You!!

t_quapin replied: "P= Passenger 215= 215mm width at widest point 60= 60mm sidewall height 16= 16" rim P240 60 16 would be about an inch wider. They should fit on your Yota."

Don replied: "I would recommend you take the car to your tire center and tell them what you want to do...given the size of the tire that came on the car originally...you may or may not be able to put a larger tire on the car without rubbing the frame and damaging the new tire. Get professional help before you waste your money and/or damage the new tire and or the car."

stdragon21 replied: "Yes you are right that the 16 means your rims are 16 inches in diameter. You have to watch out when going wider on the existing rim because if the tire ends up wider than the rim the rim will cause premature wear in the center of the tire. the 60 stands for 60 % as wide as it is high. If you go to a 215 / 50 r16 tire it is 50 % as wide as it is high so you end up with a wider tire and a shorter tire which will lower the vehicle. To keep the same overall diameter of the tire you have to generally move up 2 sizes to a 235 / 50 r16. Always check to see how much room your vehicle has to avoid rubbing without having to raise the vehicle to allow for a wider tire. Because the tire size is based on a percentage the extra width will vary from brand to brand and tires within a brand. Your best bet is to find someone that has done tire size conversions in the past. You may want to invest in 17" rims. If you do change rims be sure to make sure the offset is correct. Offset is the comparison of how much tire is on the outside as compared to the inside. For example on a rear wheel drive vehicle there may be 3 inches on the inside and outside of a 6 inch rim whereas on a front wheel drive there may be 1 inch on the outside and 5 inches on the inside."

Coop replied: "215 means the width of the tire 60 means the thickness of the tire well.....for me 215/45-55 inches is the best tire for me just for you to know...16-18 rims are best for the tires i said"

If the original tire size on my car are P205/65R15 ? plz read below? I bought my car with 18" rims,i want to get factory tires. The manual says they are P205/65R15. I looked it up and that size tire came on Mustangs 1993 to 2000s. Does that mean i can buy them from someone that has them on there mustang? I have a 2005 Toyota Camry.. or is there some where i can get cheap tires? i only want to spend about 200$ used are ok.Thanks!!!! I know that i am going to get new rims or what ever they are called

donfletcheryh replied: "Surely you do not intend to mount r15 tires on 18 inch rims! That r15 says they are for 15 inch rims."

brr cold replied: "most imports and American cars don"t have the same bolt pattern to match up the holes in the wheel. if it's just the tires then yes, if it's the wheel & tire then I would make sure the bolt pattern lines up and fits right check the junk yards for the wheels, or if you know someone who works for an autobody shop or an insurance adjuster they could help you find some at a good price"
